There are no exit polls until polling ends. Good grief.

//Rubbish at all previous elections or by-elections they have had almost continuous reporting during the day - there's not even been a photo of a dog outside a polling station! Maybe they don't want to admit they think Boris might just surprise people and get more support than they would like.//

You mean possibly get more support because you’d prefer that, obviously?
That said, Johnson isn’t standing, in case you missed that.
BBC reporter, "Yes Rita, that's right. It's polling day here at X, where voting opened at seven o'clock this morning and will close at ten o'clock to-night. Back to the studio."
It is illegal under the Representation of the People Act 1983 for all media outlets to publish how people have cast their votes, or attempt to forecast the result of the election, so it's quite some time since you've seen it happen, lankeela.

I still fail to see that any of the excuses given above are the reason there has been no mention of it. Its almost like radio silence.
If nothing is said no one can be accused of bias or of influencing the way people vote. I think that’s what it’s all about, lankeela.
They're not excuses, it's the result of electoral law.

Can you give an example of, "almost continuous reporting during the day" of a by-election or general election?
Corby, when exit polls were allowed they used to report all day long.
"there has been no mention of it." I've already said I seen mention of the by-elections on the BBC News channel.
Lankeela didn’t hear it then. Is it worth arguing over, Corby? I don’t think so.
Tora has already given up on this pair of sexual perverts, and expects them to lose.

I reckon Wakefield will go back to Labour. A small majority, a disgraced MP, and cost of living crisis and a cost of honesty crisis in Downing Street will be their downfall.
In Tiverton it will be closer. A huge Tory majority. The LibDems think they can win, but they might be a few hundred short.
We shall find out inthe morning.
Neil Parrish wasn’t the outcast in Devon that Owen Paterson was in N Shropshire.
There was more sympathy for him.
It wound be extraordinary if the Lib Dems won there but not impossible.
Wakefield will def go back to Labour
There's been no reporting of exit polls prior to the polls' closing for more than twenty year now.
‘I still fail to see that any of the excuses given above are the reason there has been no mention of it’

They’re not excuses. It’s the law!
