Labour will not sweep to power on a wave of optimism like they did with a(then) charismatic Tony Blair but atm they’ll get by with Starmer. He seems decent and honest enough which in comparison to what we’ve had for the last 12(but especially the last 3) years means he’ll probably lead a coalition government. A change of direction is in the air, the electorate...

// The only credible leader for the UK is saint Nicola. //

I'll assume that was a serious comment Moneill. The SNP are a one-issue administration. if given the power to do what she wants, which is get Scotland out of the UK and back into the EU. Fair enough. but then what?

the SNP have demonstrated themselves to be woefully inadequate when it comes to the humdrum everyday policies that are meant to keep the country going. Railways? not a scooby-do. Illegal Drugs? even less of a scooby-do.
Wrong thread?

The question was about the state of politics and government, not the economy or the country.
Keep up.
