All the Trump backed candidates turned out to be damp squibs. No red wave, but the Ronald did well in Florida. Awwww.

I think the thing is that Trump is the biggest loser from these results.

Democrats did better than expected whether they lose both houses or not, DeSantis cruised home despite attacks from Trump.

Exactly what he didn't want - not caring about the the fortunes of the Republican party or anything but himself of course.

I've been watching De Santis for a while and I think he's the sane person's Trump. In other words, Republicans would feel able to vote for him without a lobotomy. If Trump's candidates had romped to victory in the midterms, I would have been wrong; but they haven't, which means De Santis is more likely to be the Republican candidate next time round.
