Hi I'm back. Just say my doctors have been brilliant, face to face appointments after the initial phone conversations and follow up calls after two days to see if I need any extra help. Have been advised to have a bag packed ready as I might not have time if it gets worse. Has happened before so that's done.

If it's Omicron Naomi you may well be feeling a lot better within a few days, it's the lingering snot and cough that are the problem.

Morning all.

Naomi, what rotten luck. We had it in September and it wiped us out. You have my sympathy. We found taking paracetomel and drinking lots of fresh orange juice helped.

I've been hard at work since 8am. No way am I going to get finished so I am considering emailing everyone saying stuff will have to wait until next week now. And then getting on with domestic stuff.

I've only got to get a few bits (and what Tescos don't deliver later). I did the main shop online last night. I wont get him to go because it is little bits and garnishes and stuff that I dont yet know I need!!! I shall have to sort the freezer out today and then I'll go really early tomorrow morning. As long as as get my side of salmon today, I think I've got everything to cure it. It'll do for the boxing day buffet and then as a starter for a dinner party next week. I did a load of cooking a few weeks back for the Christmas party I then cancelled so thankfully, most of that stuff will do for the buffet. And it is all oven ready.

The munchkins are in the dog house. They were doing circuits round my bedroom at 3am. Using me as a springboard. Supersonic kitten landing on and launching off your boobs is quite painful. Of course, they are being cute now. When Mr BM comes down they will be all squeaky and cuddly. Little sods.

Rowan, Lady J, the doctor is coming out to see me as she thinks I may have croup as well. So pleased about that.
