Welcome to Tuesday.
Spent most of the last 24 hours in bed! Not sure what was wrong just felt blah!
As a result I missed the lovely weather we had yesterday.
Oh well back to work today with some lunchtime pottering in the garden- hope whatever you have planned goes well today.

Just watched my son fly over Southend on Flight Radar 24 on his return from Hong Kong. Will pick him up from the station later this morning.

Was he there on holiday?

Part holiday. He was travelling home from Kuala Lumpur via HK. In fact we should have been with him there for 5 weeks but we had a problem with our travel insurance so couldn’t risk it. :-(

How come you were born in HK May I ask?

Dad was serving in the forces and spent 6 years out there.
TBH is been an absolute pain, makes getting any documentation difficult

I think I might have guessed that. Seems a few of my contemporaries were in a similar position, spending childhood years in Singapore etc.

Morning all...looks like a nice dawn out there, a bit chilly as I have just been out with the recycling/garbage....9 degrees C climbing to 14 so Mr/Ms. Met tells me. Off for a hair-chop first thing this morning - more of a thinning me thinks than a cut..then back here after a coffee and we'll see what for the rest of the day.

Morning DTC, just put my coffee on so it’s ready after a quick wander round the garden.
Arrods I only remember bits like the apartment, the pool and our Arma.
Not being able to speak English was a pain but remedied thankfully mainly due to a lovely speech therapist who wrote her dissertation on me!!

I had three and a half years in HK preceded by visiting the colony every three weeks for 18 months - and then went on to Shanghai, meaning up and down to HK about once ever 10 days to visit the regional HO - the dubious honour of being Dragonair's 2nd most frequent customer on the route.

It's now cockroach time as the heat had struck. Only outside atm but I hate them. I live halfway up a mountain ( it's basically a hill) on very rugged natural ground so it's be be expected
Snakes, feral cats and kittens and cockroaches!

I was complaining over the flies - they now seem minor compared to roaches.

Use to get those in HK, big enough to have a meal.....Texas too but then it was more the snakes, mainly water and non-poisonous ones. The rattlers etc tend to live more in limestone country, as like neti's hillside, rough and rugged.... Morning neti.

Lots of furry things too and then the occasional armadillo...now that I have eaten in China!

This island was completely snake and fox free but then they imported olive trees with the snakes in them which are killing all the natural fauna so we are supposed to trap or kill yhem but they move at a alarming rate and I dont stand a chance ! If I'm brave enough I can whack a wet string mop on a cockroach! Still no foxes luckily.

Good morning all :)

Rubbish start to the day with a message stating three people off sick at work and another on holiday which leaves me on my own to close the shop later... well I can tell ya now, that ain't happening!

On a good note, section two of my course is completed and been marked as a pass :)

Off for a quick mooch round with the chickens to cheer me up... I hate my job at times :(
