Nadine Dorries
Despite promising to resign with immediate effect last week, she hasn't done it yet. Any ideas what's going on there?

Johnson wanted a safe seat and Dorries was in one. He promised her a seat in the Lords if she resigned and they made a deal. Boris would resign his seat and Dorries hers, and Boris would fight her seat as an Independent.
So duly they both resigned in a coordinated action. Then No.10 released the Resignation Honours List, and Dorries’ name had been expurged, and their plan fell apart.
Now she is recinding her resignation because it is of no advantage anymore.

We are witnessing the schism of the Conservative Party. It started 50 years ago but is coming to a head on Monday. Revolt has been fairly standard in the party for a couple of decades, but we have entered a new phase - one of mutiny.
A bloody day in prospect for Monday. No idea how that is going to pan out. Sunak needs to be very careful and show true leadership.
