KHANDRO, you claimed, "There are actually streets in Kviv now named after him, what about that ?:
That is not factual is it?
"while Middle England may have become disillusioned with the prime minister, the same cannot be said here on Boris Johnson Street, a tree-lined lane by the sea in the town of Fontanka, outside Odesa, southern Ukraine."
"Fontanka, outside Odesa, southern Ukraine." is not Kyiv and it is a single street, not multiple streets.
I'm pretty sure there is a street in Kyiv that's been renamed: I'll check.
Renaming too many would be a bit confusing perhaps :-)
One thing that did appear last year was a calorie-laden Boris Johnson cake. And Boris Johnson lemonade in Khmelnitsky.
On the subject of Andriivka mentioned above it appears that the entire Russian 72nd motorised rifle battalion was destroyed after being cut off inside the village.
I think a lot of confusion arises because there are plans/rumours and often either nothing happens it it's delayed.
Place names in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine are a nightmare as it is with multiple places having the same name or even more than one name: Soviet names in Russian and Ukrainian or post-Soviet names in either language: a good example being the old Red Army street in Kyiv centre: a bit of a nightmare.
So further renaming might be seen as problematic.
