I know but we have a few deliveries due today and I am not sure what to do to ensure that the guys don't slip on their ***

I have a couple of wrens in the garden but they never seem to feed from the same feeders as the other birds - I am wondering if I should give them seperate feeders

Morning Red, morning everyone. Freezing here too but don't think it's quite as cold as yesterday - well it doesn't look quite as white everywhere outside anyway lol.

Wrens do not use feeders as they only eat insects, spiders, etc.

They sometimes eat live mealworms but are mainly seen foraging on walls or in leaf litter. I have one here sometimes. You are lucky to see two perhaps they will nest.

Morning all.

One more day to go with decorator, he's really cracked on and is very thorough, found him through a thing called top three local, or something like that. He never stops, even when he's chatting, and we've learned such a lot from him. Be glad when he's gone though and we have our house and dog back.

Wrens are such lovely little birds, we have one which flits around our garden.

Hello and good morning. About 14° here but very blowy. All outside furniture is racing around the patio as ae 5 feral cats!

Red, I looked up feeding wrens and they also eat finely grated mild cheese and oatmeal. I put oatmeal out daily for blackbirds etc but never seen wrens on it.

Never seen them on feeders as they are very shy groundfeeders. Like rummaging in leaf litter.

Re mealworms - they all like those but don't know if wrens would dare come for them.

They hang around my dormant vegetable patch which is frozen at this time of year - I may try and scatter a bit around for them and see if they take it.
