Bit embarrassing, but when I go to the loo, the poos often float and won't go down the pan when flushed, taking two or three flushes. Ok at home, but not so good at work or visiting friends. Is there anything I can take to make them go down quicker?

haha, not as much time as the people who created those websites though! ive actually looked this up before, a couple of weeks ago me & my bf were debating the reasons for poo floating sometimes (we have some wierd conversations!) and found those websites so i thought i'd share them!!

The problem is with the UK flush!

US toilet bowls use a whirlpool effect that effectively sucks out everything in the bowl.

Being a keen Fisherman I Carry some fishing line and lead weights with me and every time I get a Floater I tie a weight to it with the nylon, it then dissapears when I flush the toilet!
It's easy as long as there is a toilet brush handy.
Just nudge the floating thing around the U bend with the brush THEN flush.

That should sort it.

You must be short of things to do if yu have been looking this far back!

Thanks for the answer, its one of the things I tried, but found that the layers of toilet paper on top work best.
