Do I have the right to return items without a reason and get a refund?  I am being denied this.

If you bought it online, yes.

If you bought it in-store no, unless they advertise that they do

Below is a good site, scroll about half way down for on line purchases.  You usually have 14 days.  There are some exceptions to the rule and they are listed.

As has already been indicated, the general answer to your question is 'Yes'.  However you need to be buying from a business seller; you don't have such a right when buying from a private seller on eBay (or similar).
