Whiskey tours with buffet

Im trying to organise a whiskey tour for 50 people with a buffet. Does anyone have any ideas for how to do this? Its around the Glasgow area. Help much appreciated x

I am pretty sure when I was in Scotland that there was a whiskey tour at either Loch Lomond area or up at the bit where Ben Nevis is which wasnt too far from Glasgow - we got bus from there it was a few years ago now thats why name of town escapes me - I didnt do it as I hate Whiskey cant remember the name of the place will get back to you - try Lonely planet guide on line

Call Charles at http://www.whiskymax.co.uk Autohor on whisky and speaker about the water of life. He runs tours and tastings and holidays too. May be able to suggest something if not actually take it on if you like.

Most of the decent distilleries will happily arrange a visit, especially for a group as its their bread and butter for getting the wird out about their product. Call the nearest / most convenient and have a chat. there are companies that will organise this for you but it can cost a lot of money, and if its a case of book a coach and book a tour - should be achievable.

The Glengoyne is the nearest to Glasgow, but any in Perth are easily within reach too. Try the locator map at http://www.scotlandwhisky.com/distilleries for info.

PS: I rarely criticise people's spelling but I suggest that you ought to get it right when writing to confirm your arrangements:-)

Any true Scot will tell you that 'whiskey' can come from Ireland, Japan, the USA or anywhere else. However, the 'real thing' can only come from Scotland, where it's most definitely spelt 'whisky'!
