Depends what you are trying to cut, surely. You could cut a piece of cake but might not get through a fat juicy steak.

My local Chinese Restaurant does a mean job of shredding aromatic duck with a fork and a spoon, so I guess the answer is yes

yep, its possible, try cutting a slice of bread with one!

also, i find that using a spoon is the easyest and fastest way of buttering bread!

H ave my muesli at work every morning with chopped banana on the top. I keep a bowl and a spoon there so have to use the spoon to chop up the banana into slices. I'm getting quite good at it now.
