NTL have a set top box which offers programmes in Hi Def(Apparently it isn't the top hi def that Sky offers), and also does the whole recording to hard drive, like Sky+, and all for an extra tenner per month.
Does anyone have this and is it worth it?

My neighbour has it, and unless you are a sports fan it isn't yet worth having the Hi Def as very few programes are broadcast in it.

And of course you need a Hi Def tv to view it.

Far better I think to buy a hard drive dvd recorder - at least you can archive your programmes to dvd r or dvd rw if you want to.

When Hi Def is more widely available it may be worth it.
