Is there a Rule about number of posts being made in a short time?
I see reference to ABers being deleted for posting too quickly.... where is the Rule set down on this, please?

If you post alot within any given time (not quite sure how many, when I'm afraid), the site's 'bots think you're spamming and you're auto banned till Ed and or the techies reinstate you.
This is one of the site's rules....
Users attempting to spam or troll the website will have their account terminated.

I dont think it is the role of AB Ed (or anyone) to point out each individual rule to everyone, merely for the users to find it, read it, understand it and abide by it. I would hazard a guess that it might be contained within Site Rules or Terms of Use?
I believe more than 3 posts within 5 minutes is the limit.

my question did not suggest that it was the role of Ed ...
I have read the Rules re spam etc .... but it is a stretch to 3 posts being spam!
interesting since I have just posted 3 anwers to a muti-part question in Q&P ---- and, I am still here!
... therefore, this 'banning' for enthusiastically answering is not clear.

lector i agree with you there, I had an email a few weels ago as did one or two others, from the AB thechnical support team, and that is exactly what they said, i must have posted 2 times in 5 minutes. However, i don't think it is replies to different threads they mean, i think it is when you repeatedly submit a reply cops the site is on a go-slow or youe puter is being a pain, rather than 3 genuine replies to 3 different threads.
Hi lector
I often post quickly within the that given time frame in Q&P and have never been zapped. However I have never posted questions quickly within that time frame .In fact I don't post many questions at all !
I think that if you post over three questions in that short space of time you get zapped but not for answers. They do this to prevent spamming and trolls .
It's all a bit ambiguous ..perhaps they need to define exactly what they mean.
All they have to say is this
Avoid posting questions and answers more than once in the same or multiple categories. They take up room from other posts and will be deleted.
