Telegraph Crossword Club
7 Answers
I was contemplating joining the Telegraph Crossword Club.
Is it worth it ?
Do they have a monthly cash crossword like The Guardian and The Times and do they have on line entry for crosswords to avoid postal costs and insecurity.

I live abroad and I'm happy with the daily cryptic but must admit it would be good to join in all the fun of the Saturday general knowledge, which is denied to us society members

I belong too and I think its worth it as I can just log in and print out the crossword any day and take it out with me, I can't always get the paper and its not really that much for a whole year. There is also the clue writing competition (I am talking about The Times now) and the Mephisto and all sorts of things. Good value both of them.
To Bangor - you get the jumbos with Times online crossword membership. I am a member of the Times as I spend several weeks each year out of England (I take the paper at home in London). I joined the Telegraph for one year, but found it not v satisfying as you can't get the Sat/Mon gen knowledge crosswords. With the Times you also get a monthly special and the Times Lit Supp xword. I also subscribe to the Guardian club, mainly to get Azed on Sunday and the prize Saturday crossword. To me the biggest drawback with the Telegraph when I did subscribe was that you couldn't submit online (I haven' checked lately if that's still the case)
Thanks everybody, that's really helped.
I am already a member of the Times Club, which I agree is excellent value. The Saturday and Sunday crosswords and both The Jumbos can all be entered on-line - saving money and the uncertainy of the post. Plus there's the Monthly crossword.
I am also a member fo The Guardian Club. Although you can only enter the Genius crossword on-line - the quality of all the crosswords are superb, and there are often themed or alphabetical crosswords. Plus of course it contains the work of the crossword God - Araucaria.
If you can't submit crosswords on-line I won't join the Telegraph Club.
Thanks again everyone.
