in-laws caravan rip-off
My in-laws purchased a brand new caravan from a show room and they picked it up a few days ago. They looked around a model in the showroom, part exchanged their old caravan and paid full price for the caravan. They had to wait about four weeks for their new caravan to be delivered to the showroom. When they went to pick up their caravan, the one in the showroom was gone so they jokingly said 'I hope thats not the one we've got' and was told that It had been sold as ex-display. When they got home there was afew things that were dirty and scuffed so they rung the manufactures with the serial number to be told that their caravan was delivered 6 months ago to the showroom and that they don't even make that model anymore! They have phoned the showroom and been offered their old van back and a refund or maybe 500 if they keep the caravan. I'm sure an ex-display van should be about 2000 less than the 15000 new price that they paid. How do they stand legally on this. In-laws very unhappy please help
