speeding
i recieved a letter from in december 2006 for speeding at 88mph in a 50mph limit in october 2006, i have recently received a court summons for this offence which is set for the 14th may, between getting the letter and my court summons i change my name and have had my driving liceance ammended, as i have changed my name and am now technically some one else, can i still be prosecuted for the offence and if so, what am i looking at when i go to court, i cannot afford to get a ban as i will lose my job.

this still sounds as if you were trying to find a way put of it to me.
If this was not the case then what relevance did it have? Surely you just needed to ask what fine and or ban you could expect for driving at 88mph in a 50mph limit.
