Drive capacity

My Drive C is virtually full to capacity but I have lots of spare space on Drive D.
Can I transfer from one to the other OR combine both drives into one?
I`m virtually a novice so please be gentle with your replies Ta.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I have an Acer laptop and the hard drives are partitioned (C & D).When my C drive was full, I cut and pasted most of the contents to the D drive.If you are like me and most of the contents of C drive are downloaded files, then just change the destination folder for your downloads,for example, all of my downloads used to go to 'my shared folder' on my C drive, but I have now changed this to 'my shared folder' on D drive.
