I have been on the roads and witnessed many a time certain people from an ethnic minority just driving as normal when an ambulance is coming up behind them with the lights and sirens. Also just walking across the road also.
I think the police do a great job in chasing criminals and they are experienced drivers. It is a shame when you hear about accidents involving police chases, but more often than not, its the ones fleeing that cause the accidents...

How many of the 49 people are innocent victims?
If most of them are drunk drivers refusing to stop or chavs in a stolen car, I have no sympathy with them. They deserve to die. However, some Police Officers may be off work with stress if they are at the wheel.
Also I think that Heather McCartney bird lost her legs in a police chase gone wrong, so on top of the 49 deaths you have to look at injuries as well.

Poor old MrBen5; he is a broken record, isn't he? He's like the clock that tells the right time twice a day - if he blames them evil ethnic types in every answer, the law of averages states that occasionally he must occasionally manage to post in a thread where it actually has some vague relevance.
Anyway, to the question. At what level do you think 'a good return' becomes a bad return?
Would 52 be an acceptable number, for example?

'Ethnics' !!!!!!!
Waldo, i would say about 250 and that is to the ratio of 80% the criminal and 20% the innocent person getting killed. Giving the criminals more of an edge is just crazy, as soon as you try to get away from a police car you loose your rights, unlucky. And people who attack Ambulance operatives and fire persons, should be crippled on the spot. Lets get tougher not weaker.
