Yesterday a rent-a-cop (Police Community Support Officer) saw me momentarily (to avoid huge traffic) cycle on a pavement. I saw him in the distance pulling out his note pad and trying to get in my way to stop me. I just pedalled faster towards him and right past him, as I had my MP3 Player on I couldnt hear what he was saying.

My question is 2 fold: -

1. What is the penalty for cycling on a pavement?
2. How the hell can these people enforce this if people just cycle past them?

It was so funny him tryin to stop me and me just going round him...hahahahah!

So you can pick and choose what laws that you choose to obey and which ones that you dont.
I think that if you could have asked the question without the disrespect - "rent-a-cop", "just pedalled past him with my mp3 player on so I could not hear what he was saying", "it was so funny him 'tryin' to stop me" and "hahahaha" - then you may have got a more sympathetic hearing.
Your question appears to be more that you broke the law and are laughing because you (may have) got away with it.
The site is used for giving opinions as well as answers and you can not be surprised if people give there opinion. Your attitude on some of your replys may have upset people too (read them - they are very aggressive), so you can not be surprised how they reply to that.
If you had just asked what the penalty is for riding on the pavement you would have got an answer - but you did not do just that - so you must take responsibility for some of the extra comments.
Actually I did answer your question. Don't know why I bothered, you clearly are not using the family brain cell at present. You have a problem in understanding that laws are the rules by which society exists in some degree of harmony as everyone knows what they should and shouldn't do. It does not matter that some, seemingly unimportant, laws are broken whilst other, apparently more serious, ones are not being investigated. It is the constant disregard for laws and rules which some sections of society do not think are important and should not apply to them which makes the majority believe that society is breaking down and they fear for the future. I have to say that you personify this belief. You do not have the capacity to indulge in polite debate so, regrettably, you get the response you deserve. When you decide to join the rest of us in civilised discussion and polite, ordered society, you will find responses will reflect your own approach. In the meantime, buy another pitbull, throw your kids some fizzy pop and Pot Noodles to live on and try and get the spelling right on your wife's new tattoos.

I do agree that opinions can be given, but constructive ones, not ones where you find pleasure in taking the ***** out of people, just coz it make syou feel better.

looneytunes - Kids, pitbull??

Let me tell you my friend, I have no kids yet, one on the way, and no pitbull. I live in surrey in a 530,000 house, have a fantastic job. I cycle to help the environment, save money for my unborn child and keep fit. So I suggest you think obout your comment, im no chav trust me!

My day job involves running a massive company that looks after children and adults with learning and physical disabilities. My evening job is to teach adult and children kungfu. therefore I do alot to help diadvantaged people, what the hell do you do????. You should come along to one of the kungfu classes and have a go, see how you get on, who knows, your energy wasted at running your mouth off might be put to better use in the ring. Let me know, I will email you the club address. Be good for you and some mates to come along and get a proper lesson.

Anyone on here interested, email me your address and I will forward you the details....

...actually gina I have just gone through a few of your answers to others posts and you REALLy have achip on your shoulder. Whats the mattter love, other half not giving it you! LOL
Question Author
anyway, post all you like, im ignoring this now, only a coupe of sensible people could actually give me an answer. Im off to change my nake and abuse you all he he he!
I must admit this is not what I would expect from a person who runs a massive company that looks after adults and children with mental and physical abilities.
I would also expect somebody who is so involved in the martial arts to know that kung fu is actually two words (kung fu, not kungfu).
You say that you have a fantastic job - do you know that fantastic can mean "existing in fancy only".
My opinion is that while you may be telling the truth, I doubt thta you are - as your attitude and immature behaviour does not bear out your claims.
you can always add another abusive post - but I think that this will only confirm what I have said.
i totally agree with tubeway, i could send you as many pics or info that you want that i live in a huge house and have the most fantastic job going but it doesnt prove anything, anyway youre not worth anymore of my time

hehehehe
The penalty for cycling on a pavement is a fine. This can differ between areas so I advise you to contact your local police station. Spaced, your posts are the most obnoxious and self-righteous on this site. If you really (as you claim) run an organisation for people with learning disabilities, you are a terrible role model for them. Oh, and before you start ranting at others, do a spell-check on your posting.
