Windscreen claims do not affect no claims bonus, and the fact that it was only a repair rather than a replacement means that your daughter did not have to pay an excess, but that does not mean that it has no cost. Your daughter's insurer will certainly have had to pay for the cost of the repair, so there has been a claim under the policy. She could offer to reimburse the insurer for the cost of the claim (probably less than 100 for repair bill) but tell her to bear in mind that many insurers operate short period cancellation rates anyway, so the refund (if any is due after 8 months) would not necessarily be proportionate to the annual premium. Hope that makes sense!
