Please, please, please could people stop talking about their dogs menstruating!  Or having periods.  Dogs (female!) are either 'In Season' or 'On Heat'.

I just find something rather revolting about the idea of dogs and menstruation - and anyway, technically, they're NOT!!!!!

I didn't really want to "go there" but I have to admit, application of protection had sprung to mind.  And dearly though I love all my pets, (six at the last count) they are ANIMALS.  Being coy about their bodily functions just seems plain silly to me.

I think the problem may be that many of the questions are from people who know little about animals. I'll go further and say that a few of them are so ignorant they shouldn't be allowed near any animals.

i must admit, some of the questions are a little worrying!  It's the lack of general knowledge about the facts of life that bothers me!  No wonder the world is in the state it's in!
