I was pleased to see an answer to 9A, I had xanthate
( xanthic acid is sulphur containing). I hope that a chemist can sort this out.

For the MOS 9a I have decided on xanthate. Xanthic acid is definitely related to sulphur. I am not aware that tartaric acid is!! Take your pick!! Best of luck either way and a happy and successful New Year. Sidley.
