I have been given a recording of a TV programme which has been recorded on a Panasonic DVD-RAM Disc.

None of my stand alone DVD players or my computer will play it.

On my computer it comes up as DVD_RTAV, when I click on this 3 icons appear, with the following names.

VR_MANGR.BUP (BUP file)
VR_MOVIE.VRO (VRO file)
VR_MANGR.IFO (DVD playback)

Can anyone please tell me how I can play this disc?

I am sure you need a dvd ram player.
Hi,
If your computer recognises the files on the disc then you're halfway there. Try using this free program to see if it'll play the movie ( it's much better than Windows Media player)

I now have it on my desk top, and have opened it up, what do I do now please?
There's a couple of ways to play a disc. Assuming the disc is in the drive, open vlc choose file and open disc in device name field select the letter of your dvd drive (usually d: but not always ) and click ok.
Second way open My Computer and right click the disc, select Open with VLC media player.
