diesel fuel pump

hi can anyone give me advice been told that a valve in the pump is sticking thats why am not getting the power when am driveing .is it possible to put any thing in with the diesel to help to free it .as been told it can cost quite a lot for a new one .its a 2.5 ford transit

deisel as a heavy oil, is already a lubricant for the internal workingsof a inuel injection pump, unless its a common fault i dont know how someon would know that it is this that is the fault.

thanks it was a ford fitter that told me he said it was a common fault on them .just hoped there was someone who knew how to get around this as its a expencve replacement .but thanks anyway
