the stepdad was a fishmonger in the local supermarket but they gave him leave from his job to help with the search for shannon. what i did agree with was the argument that after a couple of days the story only made page 17 of a newspaper and people werent interested anymore, and that they had to sell raffle tickets and suchlike to raise money for the fund whereas the mccanns had over a million pounds in the fund plus wealthy people keep adding to it, and they say say doesnt make a difference, yeah right
