story downloads

does anyone know a good site i can download stories for my 3-year-old.
I know good cheap ones for chart stuff (mp3fiesta - and the wonderful allofmp3 when it comes back on line).
I've looked at the free podcasts that itunes do, but they don't seem appropriate. I'm basically looking for something that's good that's as cheap as chips.
has anyone any ideas?

Hello cookiee.
Have you thought of getting books from your local library? Don't know if you are in the UK but libraries are free and there are wonderful children's books. This will also teach your little one to take care of books and the idea that print runs from top to bottom and left to right. Or are you planning to plug your little darling into a talking books without getting involved at all? speaking personally, my two always loved me reading to them. A love of books is a great gift to any child. XX

No. You're so right. I must get the books out when I'm driving. yes I might veer into pedestrians and on-coming cars with fatal results, but at least I'll be making you sanctimonious lot happy.
You have no idea who I am, what my life is like or what my little girl does in her spare time.
How sad you must be to scan through these messages and find ones you feel superior to. Is it because no one listens to you out there in the real world?
