Just a quite note about herbal remedies, they can interfere with other medicines such as the pill so make sure to check if you try any :)
Citalopram have been a life saver for me. I have actually taken them for years and have been advised that I can safely continue by my doctor. (I produce too much adrenalin apparently which gave me constant panic and anxiety symptoms) I have never had any ill effects from them at all.
I to have taken citaloprm for a number of years, and they suit me fine.

What this thread proves is that most of us on medicaion know from experience - different frugs suit diferent people, and what makes one ill suits another just fine.

You need to try your prescribed dose for about three weeks to let them settle and any side-effects to subside. If after that you have not settled with them, go back to your GP, but finding the right a-d is well worth the time taken.

Sorry you have had such a bad reaction - don't let it put you off, most a-d's aver very sophisticated these days, and the effects are usually minimal and temporary.

Good luck.
