Wasp nest

We've got a wasp nest down a hole in the flower bed (about 40mm dia hole). It probably belonged to something else and the wasps have taken over. Anyway, had a quick look on the net and it seems Nippon and Rentokil do foam and powder to kill the nest. Anyone used these or similar products with sucess?

just got rid of a wasp nest under the eaves, wait until it is dusk when the queen is in situ and spray in some raid or other wasp killer.

I had a wasps nest in a robin nesting box.
I went to homebase and bought a spray can of wasp killer,
it was exellent you can stand well back and direct a stream of it into the nest (it come out like spray party ribbon) it fills the nest then foams up and sets, you can go back the next day and wash out the nest with a hose pipe set to jet.

Why dont you just leave them alone? I had one in my garden and watched them come and go without any problems. They will go naturally when the weather gets colder.

the nest will just get bigger andbigger, they can attack if are angered for any reason.

Well I've sprayed a load of Nippon Wasp Nest foam into the hole tonight, so we'll see if that does the trick.

We have a narrow hole at the front of our house (where the waste pipe used to be) which wasps are in and out of - must be a nest inside. We've blocked the hole completely with a piece of wood but loads of wasps are still hovering round outside. Wil those inside die? Will those outside finally go away? Is blocking the hole enough or would you suggest chemicals. Any advice would be much appreciated
