1 Answers
Sorry to go on about this, but the company the Teaching Assistant Diploma (few questions below) is available through is DCA Home Learning.
Has anyone ever done a course through these people? How did you find it? Was it worth the money?
Any employer out there who has ever come across someone with a DCA Diploma? Worth the paper their written on? Would you consider someone with a diploma from this company?
Any opinions/views greatfully received.

The books are fine, though you could get them from the library for free, you don't need to spend 500 on them. But the assessments are a joke. Multiple choice questions that, it seems, are open to the tutor's interpretation. They don't test your ability in the subject, or even require that you think. They only need you to be able to find the answer in the book, and it is often completely unimportant to the subject matter. For example, a question about the author's son's opinion on the matter. I have found that sometimes, as I said, it is only the tutor's interpretation of this that is the basis of the question, and guesswork is what's needed!
I am regretting taking this course. I have to pay for it now otherwise I'm sure they'll send the bully boys round. But I won't do another with them.
