Well that's just great. Lloyds bank, who the agent did ask for a reference has now said it cannot confirm that we are a good risk. We have spoken to the bank and they say we have a bad credit record. True, we have had a dreadful couple of years and thought we were just getting over it. Just moved to be nearer our daughter, got a wonderful letter from our previous agency confirming what good tenants we are, both employed and can pay the rent with no problem. Thing is the bank is right, our credit score is bad, but we are dealing with it. That's why we wanted to use Nationwide, because we have a good relationship with htem and that is the bank the rent is always paid from. Don't know what to do now. The agent hasn't been in touch yet, but Lloyds told us what they've done.
