Petal - you'll be so proud of him though! Also - Leeds is a great uni.
A relative of mine starts at Lincoln very soon as well - and his mum's feeling just the same as you are now.

Don't worry or fret Petal, its life and all children leave the nest at some time.

My two eldest went to Uni, missed them so much, but life goes on.

Dont make him feel guilty about leaving home, just let him know how proud you are of him.

When he comes back for half term, expect lots of laundry to be washed and ironed and him raiding the fridge for some decent food.

Hate to rain on your parade, Petal; but why do the young folks nowadays think that they have to go to 'Uni' and study things like French Literature, Modernism In History, Peruvian Interpretations of Chaucer, and the Migrational Habits of Welsh Tortoises? Why don't these young people want to get training in the trades.....as in doing something constructive and earning good money? No one , it seems, wants to get 'dirty hands' anymore.......not picking on your son by any means: just a general question.
