candle wax on carpet

Has anyone got any hints re: removing candle wax from a carpet, please? I've tried the standard warm iron over brown paper or kitchen roll, with very little result. Thank u in advance.

scrape off the worst once it has set (use ice cubes to set it) then the iron and brown paper should deff take up the remainder

silly puddicat lol, only a warm iron not hot and plenty of brown paper, using the 'flat' absorbent side
