Want to get the children to cut out letters in their Christian name, using pictorial letters. Don't know the correct name, but each lower case letter has been made into a picture of an object or person. I don't want to buy a book, just want to use the pictures once and wondered if there was a suitable free internet site that might help, please. The picture letters could be coloured in already or remain as outline shapes - I don't mind.

sparklebox is good for that sort of thing :-)
the Z is the fanciest letter IMO.

These are lovely ideas but I was really looking for letters that have transformed into pictures. It's rather hard to explain, but the letter s is made into a snake, for example. Thank you for your ideas though.
don't mention it i'm happy to help!

This is just what I wanted, thank you. I am having trouble downloading the whole alphabet, but I will work on it.
these are all font filesIt's a font
follow one of the free dinglets links
ie ebd indians
on the next page is another link "indian.zip"
indians.zip
http://desktoppub.about.com/library/fonts/db/i ndian.zip
when you follow that - you'll be asked to open or save
save somewhere safe
follow all three links

each zip file contains a ttf file - ie Edbindia.ttf
install the font on your machine

then in a word processor type the letters you want using a large fontsize
(72=1 inch) so 500 will give a 12cm letter
