middle name of Elizabeth is a family tradition! If i had a daughter though (which i didnt and won't now) i would break that tradition as i just don't like the name!
Aww...I quite like it julie - especially when shortened to Beth.
....or Bertha-aint that sweet Julie
Bertha???? Oh ..... not one you hear a lot of, is it?
me my mom my nana and great nan all have the second name marie and if i had a daughter i would call her hollie marie. my youngest son has the middle name samuel as my brother died as a baby 6 years ago and my mom called him samuel. we chose it for my second as he was in intesive care and put up a good fight and my mom believed that my brother was watching over him.so we thought it was a great choice.
Aww, I really like it, Jules! My favourite cousin is Lizzie. How come it's not as wrong to have a favourite cousin? Or is it? :o|

Mine, my sister's and my brother's first names are all just names my mum had chosen when she was younger and my dad sort of just went along with it, LOL! My middle name comes from my mum's childhood best friend and my brother's is my dad's first name.

I really like the tradition of passing down names, though. My sister gave her daughter my name for her middle name- I was so chuffed!

I would love to name my son (if I ever have one) after my dad, but I doubt I'd ever get the fella to agree to it.
I wanted to name my son after my dad. But as my dad's real name (he has a nickname cos even he doesn't like it) is Raymond - I didn't think my son would appreciate it.

So his middle name is therefore Raymond. He thinks its cool to be named after his grandad - but glad his first christian name is Daniel.
I named my first and only son Jackson after my grandparents their surname was Jackson and when they died as they had only had girls who all married the name would have died out.My husband likes the name too which is lucky really!
My brother's middle name is my mother's maiden name, and my middle name is my Godmother's x
I was named after my ancestor Lady Prudentia Trentham, 1599 - 1642, originally one of the daughters of the Eyres of Hassop Hall in Derbyshire until she married Sir Thomas Trentham in 1620.
I'm not named after anyone, neither is my mum either as far as I know.

My dad has his father's first name but is called by his second (all uncles on that side are).

My brother has one of my uncles names and a middle name and my dad's name he is called by as another middle name.

Of my cousins on my dad's side, one has the middle name Iona after the Scottish island her mum and dad went to and one her sisters has my late great aunt's name as one of her middle names.
I wish now that I had called my gorgeous 15 yr old Florence, after her Grandmother who I adored...instead we named her Jordan. It does suit her but she doesnt like it! (& neither do I!) My son is called William David Rhys - all family names of much loved family members. He is known as Will and is very proud of his name and the history behind them.
