Can anyone suggest a cheap but romantic honeymoon destination.

Paris is always pretty reasonable (apart from alcohol).  Flights to New York are pretty cheap at the moment too.

We went to Keswick.
If I remember correctly it doesn't really matter where the bedroom is (you are on honeymoon after all)

Amsterdam and the region surrounding, great cycling country, there's little more romantic than picking up one's partner after a too-sharp turn :))

The Croatian coast!  It's gorgeous and food/drink are fairly inexpenisve.  This is not to mean not good -- the food is DELICIOUS!!!!!!  You will not regret it!
