No idea. I'd rather dig my eyes out with a rusty spoon.

Bill Bryson sums it up for me:

'It is not true that the English invented cricket as a way of making all other human endeavours look interesting and lively; that was merely an unintended side effect. I don't wish to denigrate a sport that is enjoyed by millions, some of them awake and facing the right way, but it is an odd game'.

'I've never seen offside medium slow fast pace bowling to match it, not since Baden-Powell took Rogan Josh for a maiden ovary at Bangalore in 1948'

No vibrasphere ...

The sporting event at which you can get most p*ssed ...

... is Polo.

According to this diagram, the POINT in cricket

... is the fielder who stands between the gulley and the cover.

The fielding positions close to the batsman all seem to be called "silly" something.

That figures !!!
I'm with Vibrasphere! I'd much rather pay 75 (ashes ticket for next summer, Edgbaston here I come!) for a full days top class international sport (where you can drink all day & watch the pretty laydees in their summer gear!) than pay 45 to watch 90 minutes of overpaid, foul mouthed cheating prima donnas on a cold wet night in February. Rant over.
