I purchased two pedigree dogs from a breeder at the beginning of the 2008. However, it transpires that both dogs have health problems that they were born with. One of them has heart problems and the medication costs 200 per month. Do we have any claim agianst the breeders?

We have also not been supplied with any certificates etc for the dogs although we have been promised them. Do we have any claim for this?

Thanks in advance

was the heart condition diagnosed when you took receipt of the dog? if not, how could you expect the breeder to have known abou the problem? if the breeder did know, did they deliberately withold the information in order to decieve you into buying the dogs? I dont know enough about pedigree to know what certificates you mean, but are you implying they are not really pedigree, and that the breeder was ripping you off? i would be inclined to demand the "certificates" in writing and see what happens. have you ever seen the certificates? how did you know they were pedigree when you purchased them? were yu just told verbally or did you see some proof?
If you put this in the pet section Lankeela will probably give you some good advice, she knows all about breeding and certificates etc.
