i would like some information on salix contorta(twisted willow)is it a tree or a shrub?how big will it grow?is there much root damage?etc..

I planted one of these at the weekend, I will read the label for you tomorrow and post the info given on here.
It's def. a tree - grows quite tall, not sure exactly how tall though.
Ours is about 20' so far. Looks lovely in the winter with little lights on it!
sorry for not getting back soon, we have had atrocious weather and haven't been down the end of the garden for days. Looked today and the label wasn't very helpful, it said it is a tree, which we already know and to consult a good gardening book for further information (very useful info - not), and if you do a Google all you get is info about Salix Tortuso which I don't think is the same thing
