Tarnished Silver Ring

Whats the best way to get my silver finger ring back to silver? I cleaned the house using some bleach the other day and it's gone black. Bear in mind I cannot get it off.

Try this:
Take an aluminum plate (or a regular plate covered with a piece of foil). Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of baking soda.
Then pour some hot (but not boiling) water onto the plate.
Stir to dissolve the powders. While water is still comfortably hot, dunk your ring finger into solution. If the rring is really black, it may take several minutes. Rotate the ring on your finger while soaking. After removing your hand dry the ring with a soft towel...

i tried this very method a few days ago, worked on my wifes charm bracelet a treat ..highly recomended
( we just used an ordinary pyrex dish with some aluminium foil in it )

This may sound ridiculous, but have you tried silver cleaner. You can just stick a little on a cloth and rub in, and then buff off. The best way to clean silver I know. It will look like new again - promise!!
