I just wanted to estblish that you did not advocate the death penalty for all murders. Now you are faced with a subjective decision who you are going to kill, and who gets life imprisonment (and is therefore out in 10-15 years). And you will not agree with
one of the thousands of links on cost.....

It will also provide you with supporting arguments - bottom line is that people will not agree
Thanks for the link Bangkok, it's very interesting. As you say and as is being borne out here, people do not agree.
You are correct, I do not advocate the death penalty for all murders, heinous though many are. However I do believe in the death penalty for child rapists/murderers, particularly those who were offered help/therapy for their deviances but refused, only to re-offend with even more vigour.
Quite right Andy008. The liberal's who protest against the possible re-introduction of the death penalty all too often forget the families of the victims. They are left to serve out their own life sentence of loss, grief and emotional torture which in my mind is a far worse fate than any life sentence handed out to Roy Whiting et al.
Why not? How else do you measure the impact of the loss of a child, in the most vicious and disturbing of circumstances? To the offender they are just a piece of meat, a plaything to be discarded and disposed of after their sexual gratification has been sated.
How would YOU measure the loss of an innocent child, abducted, raped and murdered whilst walking the street MargeB? Just another statistic? One of Britain's poor unfortunates who happened to be on the wrong street at the wrong time as the 'misunderstood' were giving in to their baser instincts?
If I didn't know differently I would hazard a guess that you were the sister of Roy Whiting or Ian Huntley.
The attitude you display makes me want to vomit when an innocent child is lured by one of these perverts, only to become the object of a sick desire and pay the ultimate price for nothing more than walking the street.
Philtaz, I take serious issue with your suggestion that because I do not subscribe to your position on capital punishment that I somehow condone violence towards children and that I conform to the position of those who may support convicted child attackers. Your posting is highly offensive and I believe it may be illegal.
