So how long before they start ritual beheadings and stonings? should local councils create proper punishment areas, or could ritual floggings become public entertainment? If we have to analyse this then a simple common sense tells me that it is you, who thinks Islam is dangerous and wants Muslims to kill all and sundries because of the (twisted) interpretation of Quran you have been reading for I don�t know how many years. And if for argument sake we believe you are right then of course common sense tells me again that 1.8 billion Muslims have got it wrong as they are not acting upon it. Not even 1% (18million) are doing what their religion asks them to do. I will ask you, why?
Can you grasp the common sense or is it too much for you.
Now let�s see about fastest growing bit. We all know about Wikipedia and very easily I can give you wbsites (more reputable) that would say otherwise. But why not decide this on common sense again.

Yep...I am a shirtlifter and I have Muslim mates. I allude back to my previous post...there are Muslim extremists who would be very happy to see me dead. However, I don't know any Muslim extremists.

That's my point...extremists follow religious text to the letter. That's why they're called extremists. I could pull out some pretty horrific texts from the Bible which certian members of certain dodgy cults in the States follow, but you wouldn't say that the KKK or Westboro Baptist Church are representative of all Christians would you?

Simple question - do you really believe this?

Do you know any Muslims?

I know loads and they're just as boring, funny, quick-witted, dumb, clever, secular, religious, well-dressed, badly-dressed, mean, generous as the rest of us.

Bigots hate that fact because it blows every argument they have out of the water. They would rather have us believe they're all mad Mullahs who revel in beheadings, honour killing and the subjugation of women.

And that's just not true.

Simple as that.

Anyone who knows more than a few Muslims will back me up on that.

I am British, white, male, heterosexual, married, Christian (not the happy clapper variety), and am tolerant of other religions.

I believe in freedom of speech within lawful parameters and do not feel threatened living in Britain by the growth of other religions.

We are supposedly the most democratic nation in the world and live in a multi-cultural society where, in my opinion, hatred has grown because, mainly, the misguided perception that our country is about to be swallowed up by so called Muslim Fundamentalism.

I do not presently know any Muslims personally but try to keep an open mind in the face of much negative press.

Britain has accepted innumerable immigrants to settle here for many many years but we are all as British as our predecessors were in those bygone days and I cannot see that changing radically in my lifetime or beyond.

sp1814 makes a decent point, doesn't he, birdie? That whatever the book says and whatever Mohammed was, real life doesn't correspond to the nightmarish vision you'd love to see. Muslims tend to be normal people just like us and Parrafin's daughters are safe. Ah well.

i've have never seen or heard about anyone who would do so much to try and dig out anti- muslim stuff on the internet,you are gonna be the first one on my list!
