My fiance broke up with me unexpectedly and i'm not coping. We had everthing for our wedding booked. He said that he has been unhappy and the break up had nothing to do with getting married but I can't understand why this has happened and he won't discuss it anymore with me. I'm devastated and things are getting harder rather than easier for me. All i want is him. I haven't seen him in over a month. My GP has given me antidepressants which i'm taking but they aren't helping. My friends can't understand why i'm not over it and i'm getting really frustrated with their patronising advice as they have never experienced anything like what i'm going through. I've never felt so alone and all i want is the comfort of my ex. He knows how i feel as i've told him many times. I'm so in love with him and it really hurts knowing that he doesn't want me. His friends say he has gone off the rails since the breakup drinking heavily. I'm trying not to contact him for when i do he barely speaks. i don't know what to do for the best or how to move on.

MK.... if he broke up with you, it is up to him to sort his head out and realise what he wants; you must take a back seat and give him the time and space to do this. If you constantly pressure him, you will only drive him further away. Just let him know that when he is ready to talk, you will be there to discuss everything. In the meantime, try to stay focused. I daresay that he will be in touch soon.

Thank you all for your comments, it really does help to get other peoples opinions and to know i'm not alone. Going to bed now to have a little cry, that seem to help sometimes x
I've got a house full of broken-hearts; my bikers & grooms are all from broken pairs and now have a great time pleasing themselves. The bikers have just returned from mountaineering in Wales and the grooms from far-flung active sea-sport hols. Nothing will stop their adventures now - they've got seriously protective of their freedom.
Hi MaryKay,
You have my sympathy, I deeply feel for what you are going through and it is indeed truly miserable, I am getting over a break-up, and almost 4 months on, it has got just that tiny bit easier, I think if you manage to get 'closure' it helps alot ! But my ex was such a coward, he treated me very badly yet he took the cowards way out, and left a crappy note - still proves he has not back bone instead of telling someone you loved with some respect and decency even if it is over....there is no nice way of telling someone its over, but the least you can do if you cared an ounce for them is just to swallow your pride and tell them how you feel...I realise not everyone can do this....I exist everyday...trying to keep busy...I wish you every hope you will make it through from these dark days to the sunshine and smile again ! ! There is a guy out there who you are meant to be with and you deserve someone who is not a coward and just genuinely loves you.
