had to disconect the phone line to my sky HD box and broke the end that plugs into the BT MASTERBOX.bought new cable with a compatible end for sky box and a BT conector on the other.now whenthe lead is conected to the sky box it cuts out my phones.did the cable that i broke have some special fitting on the BT CONECTOR. HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE TO SOMEONE11111

do you mean adaptor?

I would take a wild guess here that if you managed to break the end of the lead trying to remove it you may have also damaged the actual socket itself too! what happens if you plug an normal phone into it?

many thanks for help .after all the problem was, had forgotten to replace the broadband filter!!!!!!!
