UNKNOWN FILES

whenever i get an email with an attachment i click download and it runs as unknown file and then sends me to try and find out what windows program to use, it used to be ok but suddenly started doing this, anyone please help me? many thanks

Have you changed, intentionally or otherwise, the settings whereby a file extension is associated with a particular application ?

Is it just one attachment type this occurs to, or is it for all ?

i havent done anything, that i know of and yes its on all files within my emails

Save your attachments to your hard drive first then open them. Do you still have the problem?

but why should this have suddenly started happening?
