Nothing wrong with Chris at all. Its just that he isnt Wogan who had a unique style and a wealth of knowledge of film, music, radio, sweets etc from another era. Mine!
It is strange that with more over 60s in the UK than ever before we are being catered for less and less.
I'd like a whole station of my kind of music and chat. After all Terry had listening figures to compare with Chris Moyles on Radio 1. Doesnt that tell the Beeb something?
Also a couple of TV stations with what used to be called Light Entertainment and Variety. The over 70s, 80s and 90s are at home a lot or housebound and advertisers would flock to the 'Silver pound'.
Why do I think the situation is like it is? BBC Radio & TV (and all the rest) are managed by younger and younger people who just dont remember that we exist or are a market worth bothering with. Rant over! :-)
