Just found out that my Tax Credits have been suspended as for some reason they thought my husband was deceased! I said I should hope not he's only 41 and I just handed him a cup of tea! Anyway, where on earth do they get these mistakes from? I know he's been looking a little pale recently . . . but come on!

I was telephoned to come into the job centre for a review. I kept asking why but she said she was unsure but it's something to do with my JSA. Strange, as I don't receive them !!!

Then child benefits/family allowance asked me to confirm my daughter is in full time education (17) *sigh* I told them that she had moved to Ireland a few days after she left and they stopped the payments for her. Why can't they just check the amount that is paid and they would see I get it for 2 children not 3....

:-) It's mad! You always hear of it happening to other's, but never to you! I like the way they have re-defined the word "immediately"! By stating that they will make a payment immediately, due to their error, and that I "can expect to receive the payment next month" LOL

I have absolutely no idea! It's a complete mystery! This is what I would love to know. I would have thought that, rather like a birth, there is some notification that occurs on someone's death. What is they say about assumption - "it's the mother of all ****ups"!
