If you are starting from scratch, ebay often has a good selection, especially compilations. Often advertised are The Blues Collection which were CDs which went with magazines. Each one covered one artist of a type of music, very wide ranging and a great introduction to the blues.
Also try the HMV and Amazon websites- a bit of searching will turn up loads
