Well...they are made from puffed rice.
The Fair Trade rice cakes are nice too, they do a saltless variety and one with sesame seeds. I get them for a friend, she likes them with soup. My husband thinks they're like what he imagines eating polystyrene would be like, and won't touch them!
Now I do fancy the sesame seed ones -must source them !!
I don't think I can cope with salt-free ones. I like the Kallo ones with oat bran added...they have a nice nutty taste.
Ive seen those ones in Tescos but never tried them pasta -will now tho !
Dris I know Morrisons sell them if that's any help
I love them with Houmus; cheese and pickle, pate, infact most savoury dips and spreads. Try breaking them into chunks and using to scoop up dips. They are also good with jam - and I too keep a packet of them in the desk at work to nibble on just plain. Unfortunately I like to nibble all around the edges until they are lovely round little half crown sized biscuits - it drives my colleagues mad for some reason - enjoy :-)
