England is now the most overcrowded country in Europe with,

402.1, people per square kilometre,

Wales 145.6, people per square kilometre,

Northern Ireland 128.2, people per square kilometre,

Scotland 67.0.people per square kilometre,

/// However some members of the Coalition, notably Business Secretary Vince Cable, are hostile to any move to reduce immigration and sympathetic to calls from industry to allow more foreign workers into the country.///

Could the question of immigration be the matter that will finally break-up the coalition agreement, or perhaps as a compromise the door to England could be tightly shut, and the other three countries that make-up the UK, made to take in their fair share?

Very well - you are indeed a blast from the proverbial past - hope you are staying a while ...
I've been about but ma former name was resurrected so I thought I'd go back to using it
Probably not the post you expect from me but in direct answer to your question : no

We need controlled immigration that is all. Bring in the people who will work and adopt our culture and contribute.

If you think the uk is full of concrete try flying, you soon see the real picture

Oh, but of course flying is banned unler leftyism - unless you are a hypocrytical red politician of course.
"flying is banned"

In which alternative universe?
"made to take in their fair share?"

Yes, I can just see it in action now: Anyone remember the conveyor belt from "The Generation Game"? Well, all you do is have those at entry points, load the immigrants onto them, and as they come off at the other end we allocate them accordingly - "You 2 to England, you 4 to Scotland, you 3 to Wales, you 2 to N.I......"

Yeah, that would do the trick - seemples!

No you have a completely wrong idea.

Picture the scene at the immigration office:

What skills have you? "Mi no speke Inglish", right stand in the Welsh queue.

What skills have you? Well I can speak English a little, and I can work in the fields: and I am also good at tarmacing, right stand in the Irish queue

What skills have you? None I come from Afghanistan, and I hate the English, right stand in the Scottish queue.

What skills have you? We speak English fluently, studied medicine and qualified as doctors, right you three, stand in the English queue, but I must warn you, the anti-terrorist squad will first have to grill you.
It's not just an immigration problem

There are too many British nationals crowding into the South East too

Can't understand it - apparently Northern England is God's own country where the air is sweeter, the people nicer and they have proper beer.

It's a mystery
"/// The confirmation of England's position at the head of the European overcrowding league table was given by the highly authoritative House of Commons library, which examined figures from the Office for National Statistics and the EU's Eurostat.///

Not the Daily Mail you see, but a pretty reliable source it seems."

We really should not place much reliance on that. The Mail, along with most of the other papers, ranges from clueless to distortingly selective when it comes to interpreting / presenting data from informed sources.
